Can someone explain how to play Texas Hold’em “bonus” in casinos?

Question by negativex83: Can someone explain how to play Texas Hold’em “bonus” in casinos?
I know how to play the traditional texas hold’em where you play against 8 other players at your table.
But this particular game I saw at Atlantic City where there’s 5 players at the table and all of them are playing against the house.
I know the strength of hands and all that stuff but I just don’t know how the betting scheme works.
Can someone explain please?
Thanks

Any house table game is going to favor the house. The great thing about poker, played against other people, is that the house just takes its rake, and the play has a skill element (depending on who is at the table.)
Anyway, your question is answered here: http://poker.about.com/od/pokertablegames/ht/holdemtablegame.htm
What’s the house edge here? The dealer doesn’t have to match your bets to keep playing. You can’t try to raise him out of the hand– he’s staying in. But the players have to put in an ante predeal and make a bet to keep playing — with no clue what the dealer may have, because he does not bet. The house collects all the folded hands’ antes AND has a chance to suck out on the cards.
Your call if you want to play this. To me, it eliminates the fun parts of poker.

Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker is a community poker game played with a standard 52 card deck. Each Player is dealt a two-card hand called “hole cards” that can be used along with three or four of the community cards to create a five-card hand. If the best possible poker hand proves to be the five community cards, both players, and the Dealer must “play the board” by using all of the five community cards.
Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker is played “heads up”, meaning that the players play one-on-one against the house and the best hand wins. The object of the game for the Player and Dealer alike is to make the best possible five-card hand using any combination of their two hole cards and the five community cards, or “board cards”. For this reason, all wagers (Ante, Bonus, Flop, Turn, and River) are made before the Player views the cards, each step of the way.
There is an optional side bet “Bonus Jackpot”. A Player may place a wager that compares their two hole-cards to a posted pay-table. Players need not win on the base game to be paid on the bonus wager, provided the side bet wager was placed prior to any cards being dealt and the two hole-cards matches one of the listed payouts.
It’s essentially like regular Hold’em except your playing against the house.
The bonus part comes in by placing a seperate wager on your hole cards.
wagers on the bonus are usually between $ 5- $ 300 and if your two cards are any of the following combinations you win the corresponding payout.
A-A in both the Player’s Hand and the Dealer’s Hand 1,000 to 1
A-A 30 to 1
A-K (suited) 25 to 1
A-Q or A-J (suited) 20 to 1
A-K (unsuited) 15 to 1
K-K, Q-Q or J-J 10 to 1
A-Q or A-J (unsuited) 5 to 1
10-10 through 2-2 3 to 1
I love this game….usually I play $ 5 against the house and $ 15-$ 20 on the bonus.
