i once went to a casino a few years ago and we played black jack. well a friend of mine did. anyway, we didn’t like it because we felt that there was no way to tell that the computer wasn’t cheating. ALL of the games in there were computers, slot machines and all. i didn’t like it and i wouldn’t go back to that casino because i wanted more of a personal touch. and i’m personally not much of a gambler, but if i were, i would like the touch of a dealer being there. if you’re gambling to drown your sorrows, you’ll feel better to know that there’s a person there, even if you’re losing all of your money to him/her.

If they would have been a hit then it would have already caught on. I guarantee it does not catch on. Poker players play live for the interaction. The tradition of card dealers is just to old to be changed. They have one at my local card room and it never gets filled up.

I played a Blackjack one in an AZ Indian casino and won! It had seats for 4 others and I sat on “1st base’ and played like I was on a ‘live’ game.
I liked it. The odds were the same.
Dealer jobs are not affected because the majority of BJ players liked having interaction with the dealers, at least in Reno. In Vegas, the dealers aren’t allowed to have unnecessary conversation with players
