Question by AN: Do you think someone can recover from a gambling addiction by reading the medical books and online discussion?
I am curious to the opinions of others. Do you think that someone can recover from a compulsive gambling problem by reading online materials and other resources, or do you think it is necessary for that person to attend Gamblers Anonymous Meetings or other recovery meetings of some kind?

I think if the gambling problem is relatively new, the person may benefit from using these resources. If the problem has been going on for a while or is severe, it would be harder to treat. Best Wishes.

I would suggest setting up an alternative payment account like Ecocard, moneybookers, click2pay or something similar. You can use your visa to fund those accounts then from there you can deposit into full tilt or wherever you wish to play.

Online casinos are a joke. Digital and computer casino games are not equal like the older casino games where you used coins, now you get a ticket. Seems like ‘the man’ controls the payouts.

I play online for PLAY money, because you never know when someone is using cheating software or if the casino is going to give you the odds or if they just keep sucking in your $ $ $ .

I downloaded an online casino where you use play money. I never won much, I kept on adding play money because I never won more than I played. The odds are not in anyones favor.

Stick to the play money or go to a real casino.

Check out reviews on the casino or go to RipOffReport and see if anyone has complained.

Question by RockStar: Should money earned from online gambling be reported to the IRS?
Online gambling was made illegal in the US a couple of years back but there are a few (mostly Canadian) sites that still accept US players. Even though it is illegal in the US to gamble online, should an individual include those profits on their federal tax return?
I guess my question is: If one reports the income then that individual admits to ‘breaking the law’ but if they don’t then they are breaking the law by withholding taxable income from their tax return.

legally, yes. You are supposed to report all your income, at least over a certain amount.. I don’t know the amount but it may be like $ 600.00 or something.

No, you are not banned away from online gambling, and u are right, if it was the case it would be taking your freedom. I think they were looking to ban the online gambling, but instead of that they came with law that doesnt let banks allow deposits to gambling sites. Ofcourse you can always use alternative deposit methods such as all access vis gift card. Also some sites doesnt accept americans for this so you can play at USA friendly gambling sits only.
