Depends on the site you are playing at and the state in which you live. The federal government has made it “legal” to gamble online; however, this is for intrastate gambling. This means that you can game within your state on a site that is regulated by your state. As long as none of the gaming does not cross your state borders you are fine (it then becomes interstate commerce which only Congress has the right under the Constitution to regulate). The problem is that I do not believe that any states (someone please correct me if you know otherwise) have enacted any regulation which would make online gaming legal in their state. As such, it is currently illegal.

I’ll let other folks give you links to their casino sites. There are plenty of vultures out there that will want your money.

Any of the sites that they suggest will allow you the chance to win money. In fact you WILL win money. You certainly will. The problem is in the long run you will lose more than you win! There is no way around that fact.

A lot of poker websites list that you can gamble when you’re 18, but if you live in Nevada would that rule apply, since you have to be 21 to gamble in Casinos.

No, The reason you have to be 21 in Vegas is because the Casino’s serve free alcohol.

Not all casino’s in the country do, and you only have to be 18 to get in.

No, its not illegal. Banks are just not allowed to do transactions for Online Gaming. Use Epassporte or do cash trasfers and you will be fine. When you cash out, they will send you checks by mail or they can even send your funds to your personal bank account.

Question by Hey girl: My mom won a huge sum of money doing online gambling. Is that money legal?
So my mom was playing this online poker game that she downloaded to her computer. She was playing and won a huge sum of money. ($ 20,000). She lives in the state of New York and the money came from Canada where the gambling company is located. Is this legal? Please help! I cannot get her to contact a lawyer. I am an adult by the way, not a little kid asking this.

Anytime someone wins that much money I would definitely get a lawyer. Online gambling is very risky. I hope she actually did win and if she did congratulations.

I used to play Casino-On-Net when I downloaded it. And it was play money. Since the game can not be played anymore in the united states so I was wondering if any of you know any good ones similar to it. That I can download and does not have viruses or anything. Please and thank you! (And I like the casino games that have a variety of mini casino games in it.)
