i am betting on sports online and I was wondering what do i do in terms of taxes, is what i am doing illegal, I mean they put the lines in the paper and and stuff and the website is in forgiegn country so it would be like making money in a different country and bringing it here which i dont know much of, I am 18 and in college so i dont know much but i just started and i am doing pretty good so can you give me as much info as possible

Your on-line gambling is illegal. It may be difficult or even impossible to repatriate any wins as the foreign site operators subject themselves to arrest upon their arrival on US soil. This HAS happened.

There is a very limited amount of legal on-line sports book gambling operated in the US. Generally the books are run by the major gaming firms. Legal US sports books will plainly state such and are always operated wholly within the US and block access from foreign IP addresses.

With your illegal gambling, you are subject to a loss of all funds if the transaction is caught. All US banks and US credit card processors will refuse transactions from known foreign casinos so you’d have to travel to the country where the casino is operated to collect your money.

Regardless of the illegality of it all, any winnings are taxable. And since the activity is illegal, you do NOT get to deduct your gambling losses as you would with legal gambling.

The casino isn’t losing though. The hotel and other services might be, but not the gambling.

They will give you a check for any amount over 25k.

No, they cannot wire the funds out to an international bank. You will be responsible for doing that on your own.

Let’s say I’m at Vegas and I spent about $ 20,000 at a poker table and about a couple thousand more with slots..(Losses only). Would the casino pay you any kind of reparations or give you some kind of benefit or service for the rest of your stay?
This is at Wynn and Bellagio.
Oh, also I did a little searching and it looks like they comp a “High Roller’s Suite” for you at every hotel. Is that true?

Some casinos, however, may identify you as a gambler with a problem and refuse you entrance in the future.

is anybody using any online casinos to make money ?? because if any one is then i know for a fact that some are not a scam

also are they easy to use i heard somewere you can find step by step guides telling you exactly what to do and what colours to pick and to use different casinos when you reach £115 or so is this true ??

You can make money with online casinos, however with it being online there is a big chance that they programmed it to be rigged. Also, online casinos are illegal in America, so if you’re in the US and get scammed you’re screwed, but you posted a different currency so I’m guessing that’s not a problem.

The winnings and payouts are different from each site. I would try to research and find the biggest network out there to be safe. Also, it is gambling, there are risks…some people will make money while a majority will lose it.

I’m not talking about card or casino games. I mean the arcade games like on gsn and worldwinner and many others that ask you to pay to play. I tried to use a pre-paid visa but they needed a actual bank or credit card. So I guess I just need to know if people actually win and get paid.
