Q&A: Can you play poker for money at a casino with people at your same “skill” level?

Question by Captain Cab: Can you play poker for money at a casino with people at your same “skill” level?
I love poker, and I would like to try playing for cash at a big table with others. However, I couldn’t hold up agaisnt those masters. Is there anyway to play poker as a beginner with others at a casino?

Not officially. There are no tables specified to players based on play level . The closest you can get – and I highly recommend this – is to start off at the lowest level table available. If there ae $ 1-$ 2 tables – go there. $ 2-$ 4 0 then go there next. Start at the lowest betting minumum tables and once you feel comfortable in your game play then move on up to the next level. In poker the amount of the bet IS the skill level. Take your time and don’t get in over your head. If it works – great. If it doesn’t – let it go. Enjoy yourself!

There are many online casinos offering the multi-hand versions of video poker nowadays. Realtime Gaming and Microgaming casinos offer video poker with up to 100 hands with each draw. If you want to find casinos online with multi-hand video poker I recommend that you visit http://www.ranked-online-casinos.com/multi-hand-video-poker.html
Many offer the 50 hand version you referred to and some offer triple play, five play, ten play, and 100 play video poker games.

Are the “fun money” and real money versions of online casino software the same?
Question by cratcholibre: Are the “fun money” and real money versions of online casino software the same?
I know that the software looks the same, but are the odds the same? I won k in a fun money account at an online casino. Is the probability of winning the same amount in a real money account at the same online casino identical?

Yes the odds are determined by the computer randomization generator. They remain the same between fun play and money play, though players play differently, and most players who do well in fun money play, do not do well in real money play. You have to know what your doing. that’s my take

Q&A: How do I know if the online casino table games pay out the same or better than land-based casinos?

Question by Kiper: How do I know if the online casino table games pay out the same or better than land-based casinos?
I’m looking for a fair online casino.

Theoretically, online casino table games should pay out equal to land based casinos over time.
To be sure you are getting a fair deal, you should only play with online casinos that are audited by third parties. You can view such a list with links to the actual reports at http://www.ranked-online-casinos.com/payout-percentages.html
On a monthly basis, payouts will vary from a land-based casino to an online casino, but over millions and millions of hands, they are roughly the same. When it comes to slots and video poker, online versions are usually better. Most land-based casinos do not offer the full pay video poker games any more, while many online casinos do. You should educate yourself on the paytables and make informed choices prior to playing video poker any where, online or land-based. The lone exceptions to this are casinos with Microgaming software. All Microgaming casinos carry full pay video poker by default.
